Jools is the new name for GarrBitch, some cool electropop, produced by Pickle & Banger (known from their awesome free ep). Some dirty lyrics, some cool and funky beats and you get an awesome result! Like Uffie or Miss Kitten? You’ll really digg Jools then, this is great! The new Ep is called “Dice” and available as a free download! ‘Your Mum’ is a really great track, our favourite but the rest is great too of course. Dirty beats, catchy ryhmes and songs, cool as fuck! Get it get it get it!

Great news! You can have a listen to 6 new daft punk songs (or at least a parts of them) from the upcoming movie “Tron legacy”! We already put some songs on this blog that might have been made by daft punk but now it is certain that Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo have made these tracks. The full album will be out by the end of 2010 or beginning 2011, let’s hope that day will come soon! You can listen to the tracks on the website of American radiostation The End or at the official Tron Legacy youtube channel. The tracks sound epic, typically movie soundtracks and less danceable like their hits, but it’s Daft Punk so it will be awesome. Can’t wait to see this movie and hear the soundtrack. Enjoy these!

Finally, the internet reveals the debut album “We can’t fly” made by Aeroplane. After Stephen left, Vita is the only pilot left but that doesn’t mean Aeroplane is less great. Still at the top of Belgian Electronic music, their disco is some of the best summermusic you can find these days. We had a listen and loved (almost) every track on this album! This album could go straight in our top 10 list “best 2010 albums”. Next to supersingle “We can’t fly” other songs like “Without Lies” or “London Bridge” got us hooked to this album. The nice balearic disco vibe on this record is irresistible and together with some tracks like “I don’t feel” and “The Point of No Return”, which have a more rocky sound (but are our least favourite tracks), this debut album gives a lot of variety and never gets boring or repetitive. We give you our two favourite tracks (after “We Can’t fly”), but when the album will be released, don’t hesitate to buy this album because you’ll love it for sure!

Mashed Paper Klub has a new Ep for you guys and again, all tracks are for free! Damnit we love these guys! This Ep is not as hard as their previous one Deus Ex Machina, ’cause the tracks have a more peacefull aproach this time. Not that there are parts in the tracks were you can get nuts and trash the place or even start a riot, because hard is just the MPK-style. The new ep is called “Wazabi” and has 1 track with 2 great remixes. The original one is called “Optimus” and has a sound which reminds me of the slower and less wild Justice tracks like Stress or Valentine. Beside that a more disco sounding remix made by Yama Dirty Crew, which is my favourite track on the EP. And as a last track, a remix made by Mashed Paper Klub, but a harder version of the original. 3 lovely tracks you can enjoy while party-ing! Get them now:
Mashed Paper Klub – Optimus
Mashed Paper Klub – Optimus (Mashed Paper Klub Remix)
Mashed Paper Klub – Optimus (Yama Dirty Crew Remix)
Ep will be released on vinyl on august 1st! ’till then: enjoy the free mp3’s!

Fuck I think I just heard the number one album of this year, and it’s called “Learning” from this guy named Perfume Genius. There’s no way to describe the beauty of this music, so I advise you to just listen to the album HERE or download the two songs below and then go buy ten copies of his CD so you can play the record for the rest of your days… .
Perfume Genius – Look Out, Look Out

Some great news coming from the electro scene, all inclusive are some tracks! Check it out:
Great label “Kiez Beats made a mini compilation called “Kiez Selections” and contains some great and big bangers from their artists. All songs/remixes are fresh and new. Artists like Ikki, Tom Deluxx & Rotze made really cool tracks, You can buy this compilation here! And while you’re at it, grab a the Ikki-track for free here:
Ikki – Bakala Banger
Best artists name ever: Je Deviens Dj en 3 jours is back with a new killer Ep “Trashing Fakers”! We had a listen and loved all the gameboy beats and bleeps, some great 8bit right here! The original track is our favourite, but the remix pack you get with this ep is awesome too! Our two favourites: Dr. Van Pnok, who made a real trashy remix with some dirty sound and raving synths and the one made by FLLD: a kind of Housy and minimal version of the gameboy tunes. Big love, listen here and buy this here!
And to close this: a great essential mix by Don Diablo, not the usual big tunes but a mix of somewhat every kind of music. Don Diablo – Klassroom Mix @ Kissy Sell Out show (BBC Radio1)

Tomorrow is a great day because the Super Mirage debut album “pretty lies” is coming out! Best part: free tracks to share with you! We already mentioned these guys in our megapost but now we’ve got some more great music to share! They still offer us some great indietunes which reminds us of The Killers or The Bravery. We made a selection out of their debut and give you the best tunes, our top 3:
Super Mirage – Leslie
“Leslie” got a nice laidback flavour, with some Doors-organ in the middle of the song and some great rocking end. Indie pop like it should sound!
Super Mirage – You got me
“You got me” doesn’t start of great but at 00.20 a groovy bass starts and makes this song awesome!
Super Mirage – Song for a go go girl
“Song for a go go girl” is a great title for a great song with a really nice intro. A bit of a singalong song. Great stuff!
Enjoy these tracks!

Hey Guys and Girls,
I know what you thinking… Is the Rusty Blog being sponsored by Levi, fucking Levi? Well altough I wouldn’t mind receiving free Levi’s jeans, we are not (I mean sponsored). No the reason why I put there logo up here is because they have tought out a great musical concept and it’s called: “Levi’s Pioneer Sessions” and what they do is invite contemporary musicians, like Passion Pit, She and Him, The Kills, Dirty Projectors, Ryan Bingham, The Roots, NAS,… to recraft older songs that inspired their sound or stimulated them to make music. And they are giving away all those songs fo’ free on their website. Also there’s a making of video of every recording… . My favourites are She and Him, Passion Pit and NAS who have respectevely reworked: Fools Rush In from Rick Nelson, Tonight Tonight from The Smashing Pumpkins and Hey Young World from Slick Rick.
So check it out boys and girls and enjoy…

Eject Pilot Eject is a great indie band from Cardiff. They send us a track and we really love it. They describe themselves as a cross of early Manics, Undertones and Joy Division. Should sound beautiful and actually it does! No arrogance here to name such great bands if you really sound great I guess. They offer you a free track called “No hero”, I know you will love this. Some 70s rock which sound really boys-ie (if that is a word), although they got a female drummer! And if you look into history, every band with a female member will get great succes! So expect great things from EPE and start listening, so you’ll be the first to discover a great band! Check out their soundcloud or Last.fm for more free downloads!

House music is getting more popular again, that’s great. What’s even greater? a nice mixtape with some nice house tunes mixed very smoothly. Felix Dorner made this mixtape with some cool tech-house tunes. Listen to it, dance to it, enjoy it and check the tracklist in comments.
