Electric Romance.

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

We got two nice track for you guys and girls! First up a nice funky and dancy re-edit by Peo de Pitte of his own remix of Drumattic Twins – Crazy Love. It’s a lovely tune and contains portions of the tune Gusto – Disco’s revenge! This new one comes so far with heavy radio support from Andi Durrant at Galaxy UK and Peo’s original remix of Crazy Love saw support from artists like Groove Armada, Fake Blood, Rico Tubbs, Laurent Garnier…. Not bad at all, hope you like it:

Peo De Pitte Vs Drumattic Twins – Crazy Love

Second one, isn’t a partytrack but a great laidback tune. Canadian’s The Modern Men send us this track (incl free download!) and we loved it from the first listen. Some laidback electropop to match perfectly with a nice summer evening. Grab it here:

Hypes.

Saturday, August 28, 2010

I tought, this time I won’t go with the flow and follow these hypes by posting them on this blog, but damn these tracks/groups are just to good to let them pass by. So you may already know these bands, but for the people who don’t: check them out, they are really worth it!

Let’s begin with one of the greatest tracks released this year: “King of the Beach” by Wavves! It’s on their thirds record already and to be honest I’ve never heard of them but that’s no bad thing, staying underground. But now I’ve discovered Wavves and I am happy I did, “King of the beach” is such an awesome song! Tight drums, happy guitars and some catchy vocals. Really a great song, live an awesome sing-along! Other songs are sometimes a bit similar but still there is enough diversity so the cd never gets boring. Another favourite is the more psychedellic “Post Acid”. This music is called Lo-fi punk, which means recorded in a “bad” DIY way, but it all gives it more love by us. Happy to let you get to know this band, You gotta check out Wavves:

Wavves – King of the Beach

Next is softer, sunnier and has a great folk touch. The guys and girl from Allo Darlin’ give you some of the sunniest and happiest songs you’ll hear this summer. If you want a comparison: Slow club but in a more mature version. Some happy guitars, flute and vocals. This is pure summer. I love this cd! Have a listen at one of their songs!

Allo Darlin’ – Dreaming

Another hype in the making: the new Interpol album. A lot of people who wants be indie or want to be the person who knows all the unknown bands hate that other Joy Division clone called Editors but love Interpol. No idea why, I like them both. As example the new song leaked from their upcoming album sounds great! Barricade gets them back and closer to their debut album, and far away from their 2007 ‘Our love to admire’. Thank god for that! Have a listen and countdown to their new album:

Interpol – Barricade

Last hype for today: Miami Horror. They make some bloody nice stuff. Dancy disco tunes with the most catchy hooks I’ve heard this summer! The track “Holiday” is stuck on repeat in my head, but that’s just fine because it’s a goddamn nice tune! Disco will rule 2010!

Miami Horror – Holiday

Keep them hyping!

All Delighted People.

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

Today is a good day, said a certain rapper in one of his songs and damn he’s right! New stuff out of nowhere by the master of music: Sufjan Stevens! And you can have a listen to a new song by Goose!

First up, news about Sufjan. After years without releasing typical SS songs the man is back. Without a warning this time, but that makes us love the tracks even more. Yeah, you got it, I’m loving this EP called “All Delighted People”! 8 new tracks, duration about 1 hour, enough to discover this time! The title track comes in 2 versions, the original one is my favourite (actually of the whole EP) with some of the best orchestral parts Stevens has used so far, banjo’s, guitars, choirs and other stuff to give a wide variety in just 9 minutes. This song (and the others too actually) could fit in right on his masterpiece Illinoise. Mr Stevens explains: “All Delighted People is a dramatic homage to the Apocalypse, existential ennui, and Paul Simon’s Sounds of Silence. Sounds delightful, yes!” You can prelisten the whole thing at the link below and buy it for only 5 dollars, cheap so do it!

Sufjan Stevens – All Delighted People Ep

Second: the guys from Goose are assholes! Making us so damn curious about their new CD, they gave us after “Words” a new song called “Dawn”. Short and mysterious, this track makes us want to have that second CD more and more. Liking their new style, a bit of kraftwerkish vocals in “Words”; dark synths in “Dawn”… Can’t wait to hear the next song! But please, have a listen for yourself:

Goose – Dawn

As a bonus, a nice mixtape made by Supah Troopas! Have a listen, these guys made an effort and delivered quality. Nice one!

2 times new klaxons!

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

Hello my friends, got great news for you guys: 2 new Klaxons tracks from their upcoming album ‘Surfing the Voids’, dropping august 23th. (next week) First song “Same Space” sounds a lot like “Golden Skans”, the same low and high vocals, a bit of a wild twist but nothing new. A bit disapointed but as we liked “Golden Skans” a lot, we do like this song. We just hope they offer something new on their 2nd album. Second track is “Twin Flames” and has the same vibe as the first song, but a little less a catchy hook. Still a nice song. This new album won’t be as “renewing” as their debut but it’ll probably contain some nice spacy pop songs. Check it out:

Some electro tracks we’ve found in our mailbox, keep sending!

Dicknasty! – Not a club mix

Dicknasty already made some nice partytracks, nog he’s back with some cool new stuff. Our favourite new track: “Not a club mix”, some synths which start of normal but after a while start to flip and go crazy, and even get really dirty and hard at 1.16. Loving it!

Swedish House Mafia – One (Sean Linman GET UP! Bootleg)

Sean Linman edited the biggest summerhit this year “One”, he didn’t change much but what he did made it supereffective to get a party started!

DJVC ft. Wonkap – All ’bout Money

Some big dubstep tune by DJVC, this time featering Wonkap. Typical hard dubstep rythms starting, climax coming up and then: hell breaks focking lose! This one is HARD! and this guys is talented, loving it!

Nudge Nudge Nudge vs Katrina and the Waves – Walking on Sunshine remix

Our favourite Polish producer Nudge Nudge Nudge is back with another great remix! This time he threw “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the waves in the blender, you won’t recognise this song, but it’s a really great remix. Laidback but happy, a great summer soundtrack. If you like this remix, you can vote for it here

Monseigneur XIV – Heartphones

Closing this post with the best track we got this week, “Heartphones” by belgian brothers Monseigneur XIV. These guys make some electronic music from time to time and with this track they did a great job. Some Drum ‘n Bass rythm, mixed in with a jazzy feeling and some fancy piano tunes. Reminds me of the great classic “Brown Paper Bag” by Roni Size. Get it (here as a download) while we are still allowed to share it with you guys!

Enjoy these!

Pony Pony Run Run

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Hey. I know I haven’t posted for a long time. But I have a good excuse: I was in France! And there I tought I would discover some great new tunes for you but that wasn’t true at all, French people listen to the same shit as we do! : )

But I discovered one new band there and it’s called Pony Pony Run Run, and they make some superb summertunes a little bit like Phoenix, but with their own sound. Which has a lot of electronic bits and bleeps but also guitars, acoustic guitars and a lot more (like drums and bass guitars).

Check them out HERE and HERE!

Enjoy,

TRB

Where i’m going.

Sunday, July 18, 2010

One of my favourite Australian bands is about the release some new stuf! Talking about Cut Copy off course. Their new album is coming in January 2011, but now they offer you a free song! It has that great and melodic synth sound in it (one of the reasons we like Cut Copy) and even has a high sing-along grade. Together with this great artwork, they deliver a great song. One of my favourite CC tracks maybe. Have a listen, and download it for free here:

Esmorite – Shoot ‘em in the head Mixtape

Belgian Dj Esmorite made a nice mixtape containing some Electro, techno, trash and house and has choosen some brilliant tracks. This mix starts with the new track from djgod Brodinski, enough to convince us this guy has taste! The other tracks are even awesome and this mix is ideal to have a quality party! Thumbs up!

DON DIABLO – WHO’S YOUR DADDY (A.SKILLZ REMIX)

DON DIABLO – WHO’S YOUR DADDY (BLACK NOISE REMIX)

Next up: Don Diablo! The Dutch dj is back, hitting a lot of blogposts lately, this guys is on fire! He is going to release a new track on August 2 called Who’s your daddy?. This id not his best one, he’s trying too much to be a rockstar in this track but he should stay in the dj scene and make some bangers like “I’m not from france”. But we received some remixes too and will share them with you.

Modek – Pink

Modek made this crazy track with some big basslines! This is really heavy and has the capacity to make a big club explode and turn the dancefloor into one big riot. Really loving Modeks style here! Support this guy and buy some stuff on beatport!

Trashing Teenagers – Cubes (Original Mix)

Trashing Teenagers are the newest and hottest electromasters from Belgium.

The Chemical Brothers – Swoon (Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas remix)

The Chemical Brothers are about to release their new and seventh album “Further!”! Maybe you’ve already had a listen to the great single “Swoon” (we already offered you the Don Diablo remix) and now we offer you an even greater one made by the great duo Lindstrom & Prins Thomas. Have a listen, this vibe is really great!

Biggy & Smalls – The Poopoo

Biggy & Smalls are giving their best with this funny and raving song called “The Poopoo”. Some cool vocals and great beats make this a very nice electro track. Have a listen and spread the word!

Pinball- Wrong

Some nice and chill-out music! Some trip-hop vibe here with some sensual vocals on it. Pretty good stuff!

That’s it for this mega post! Have fun with it!
