I tought, this time I won’t go with the flow and follow these hypes by posting them on this blog, but damn these tracks/groups are just to good to let them pass by. So you may already know these bands, but for the people who don’t: check them out, they are really worth it!

Let’s begin with one of the greatest tracks released this year: “King of the Beach” by Wavves! It’s on their thirds record already and to be honest I’ve never heard of them but that’s no bad thing, staying underground. But now I’ve discovered Wavves and I am happy I did, “King of the beach” is such an awesome song! Tight drums, happy guitars and some catchy vocals. Really a great song, live an awesome sing-along! Other songs are sometimes a bit similar but still there is enough diversity so the cd never gets boring. Another favourite is the more psychedellic “Post Acid”. This music is called Lo-fi punk, which means recorded in a “bad” DIY way, but it all gives it more love by us. Happy to let you get to know this band, You gotta check out Wavves:

Wavves – King of the Beach

Next is softer, sunnier and has a great folk touch. The guys and girl from Allo Darlin’ give you some of the sunniest and happiest songs you’ll hear this summer. If you want a comparison: Slow club but in a more mature version. Some happy guitars, flute and vocals. This is pure summer. I love this cd! Have a listen at one of their songs!

Allo Darlin’ – Dreaming

Another hype in the making: the new Interpol album. A lot of people who wants be indie or want to be the person who knows all the unknown bands hate that other Joy Division clone called Editors but love Interpol. No idea why, I like them both. As example the new song leaked from their upcoming album sounds great! Barricade gets them back and closer to their debut album, and far away from their 2007 ‘Our love to admire’. Thank god for that! Last hype for today: Miami Horror. They make some bloody nice stuff. Dancy disco tunes with the most catchy hooks I’ve heard this summer! The track “Holiday” is stuck on repeat in my head, but that’s just fine because it’s a goddamn nice tune! Disco will rule 2010!

Drums Are For Parades – The Law

First one is a track from Belgian sludge band Drums Are For Parade! A hard song with pounding drums and heavy guitars, the way you like it! This track is the opener for their upcoming new album called “Master” which will drop September 20th. This one is for the tough dudes among us.

Villagers – Becoming a Jackal

Next free song is a really nice one. Villagers is a band around Conor O’Brien from Irish band “The Immediate”. He gives us some folkish popsongs with a single guitar and some lovely vocals. You can download the first single from his album “Becoming a Jackal” for free here. Go for it!

NOFX – The Longest Line

Punkrockband NOFX is planning to release “The Longest EP” in August, which will contain some rareties, some hits and some unreleased stuff. To celebrate some free songs on the website from label Fat Wreck Chords, here we offer you one.

Dez Mona – Jack’s Hat (Internal Sun Remix)

Dez Mona got remixed by Internal Sun (a member of Dez Mona) and gotta say the result is awesome! Pukkelpop Festival offers this track for free, go get it, it’s awesome!

Tame Impala – Solitude Is Bliss

Australian rockband Tame Impala offers you some great music with a psychedellic touch. They give you a free track, it’s a great trip down to australia’s deserts with this great track! As a bonus you can download two free remixes! One by the Australian duo Canyons and one made by the fantastic Mickey Moonlight! 3 times a big win!

Alain Johannes – Endless Eyes

Talented musician Alain Johannes already played in bands like QOTSA, Them Crooked Vultures, Eleven and with Mark Lanegan. Now he’s going solo and will release his debutalbum ‘Spark’ in August. As a preview listen to this cool rocksong with some oriental flavour! Lovely, a must hear!

Washed Out – You and I [ft. Caroline Polachek]

Washed Out makes some perfect dreamy popmusic. A big buzz in 2009 in blogland, now he offers a free MP3! Love this kind of music, maybe you will too?

Two Door Cinema Club – Costume Party

Saved the best for last with a free new track by Two Door Cinema Club! It’s catchy as hell, like we expect from this great band! They prove again why they earn the title of best indiealbum 2010.

Rifoki finally released their track Sperm Donor. Rifoki is the new project by Steve Aoki & Bob Rifo (from Bloody Beetroots) and isn’t what you would expect from these electro-djs. This track is a Hardcorepunk track, but it ends up alot in their djsets so if you already heard Steve Aoki or The Bloody Beetroots spinning, you might have heard this. Check it out:

Gossip is a three-piece American Indie/Riot Grrrl band fronted by the famous Beth Ditto. They will release their 4th album “Music For Men” on June 22.
