Cactus: conclusion.

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Hi y’all!

Back from my second festival and it was really cool. On Cactusfestival, I saw some really amazing concerts. Going to post my top 3 I saw during the first 2 days of the festival with some tracks!

My number 1 (and the reason I went to Cactusfestival): Cold War Kids! Third time I saw them live and again pretty genious! They played all the songs I wanted to hear and they were excited to play this venue. They really owned the place! Here are some of their most genius songs:

Cold War Kids – We Used To Vacation

Cold War Kids – Saint John

Cold War Kids – Hospital Beds

Another great concert and my number 2: The Gutter Twins! Mark Lanegan (QOTSA, Screaming Trees) and Greg Dulli (The Afghan Whigs) played their songs in an accoustic set and it was great! Didn’t know much songs but now I’m convinced I must have their CD Saturnalia! Some tracks:

The Gutter Twins – Idle Hands

The Gutter Twins – Summer’s Kiss (Live Berlin)

Number 3: They play rock & roll, they are young and they are from Belgium: The Black Box Revelation! They played all their hits (and believe me, they have lots of hits!) and some new work! Very excited to hear more new songs! Not much to share because you just have to buy their CD and give them your support:

The Black Box Revelation – I Think I Like You

And to give you some more tracks: here are 2 other great artist I saw and their songs:

Michael Franti – Hello Bonjour

65daysofstatic – Primer

Enjoy and hopefully you were there, otherwise you missed out on something really cool…
